*We love to tell stories, especially personal stories. The details of our journey are waiting down below. Keep going!
About Us
This is where we say what we do and why we do it. But we would rather talk about who we are. We are human beings. We make mistakes. We lose our way. We learn from our journey. That’s what keeps us invested in this process. We are on our own journey to better.
Our personal journeys have included paths like:
Building businesses from the ground up
Parenting a special needs child to adulthood
Navigating depression and anxiety that threatened to derail personal and professional development
Leading businesses from financial destruction to viability
Building resilient careers that span decades
Pivoting in midlife to find passion
Overcoming personal defeat and thriving
Striving for success and looking for reliable processes to get there
The journey to better is a great teacher. When you take that journey you learn what works and what doesn’t. You search for guideposts that will make the journey easier the next time. When you find things that work, you put a stake in the ground and claim that spot as reliable and repeatable. You return to that place because you’ve found a system that you can count on to work.
From our journeys, we created Basecamp.
Basecamp believes in solutions that guide people to better. Finding them. Embracing them. Equipping others to use them.
We believe in finding better because we’ve taken that journey. In every role that we have filled—both personally and professionally—we have been striving for better. Parts of those journeys have been hard, and parts of those journeys have been really hard. Along the path, we learned the places where we needed different kinds of tools to be successful. And we found places on the journey where we couldn’t do it alone and we needed an experienced guide.
We’ve done that work. We’ve worn down the path and put stakes in the ground for solutions that are successful—and we want to equip others to do the same.
Equipping others to success is a lofty goal, but our experience gives us confidence. Our confidence comes from two places: our knowledge of the trail and the strength of our tools.
It’s simple, but it’s all you need—even if you have a mountain to climb. You need the most up to date, innovative, and reliable tools and you need someone who knows how to use the tools and can lead the way.
